Suction limits for PVP series pumps
The indicated pressures indicate the minimum required pressure at
the pump inlet.
Please note that long and narrow suction lines, elbows, type
fittings and other accessories
may cause a significant pressure drop.
The suction filter should be carefully dimensioned and maintained
regularly.
Low oil temperatures and dynamic processes (rapid regulating
movements) also increase the pressure loss.
Leakage oil line
The leakage oil line must be introduced directly and without
throttling into the oil tank. It must not be connected to other
return oil lines. The end of the leakage oil line must be below the
minimum level of the oil tank and as far away from the suction port
as possible. This ensures that the oil inside the pump body will
not be emptied when the pump is stopped, and the hot oil mixed with
air will not be recirculated. For the same reason, when the pump is
installed inside the oil tank, the leakage oil line should also be
installed to ensure the occurrence of siphoning. This ensures that
the pump shell can be filled with oil. The shell % (leakage oil) %
pressure must not exceed . The longest line &&& , the
minimum diameter should be selected according to the size of the
oil pump interface, and the direct-connection low-pressure
connector with the largest diameter should be selected.
Transmission
The pump shaft and the motor shaft must be coaxial. A slewing flexible coupling with clearance error compensation and angle error compensation should be used. The installation regulations of the coupling manufacturer must be followed.
Starting
During the first test run and after a longer shutdown, the oil in
the pump body may be emptied. This can be dangerous when starting,
so the pump must be filled with oil (via the leakage oil line).
When starting for the first time, the system is operated without
pressure in order to quickly fill the oil and exhaust the pump and
the lines. When all the air is exhausted, pressure builds up. Short
opening and closing times facilitate exhaustion and enable the pump
to be quickly filled with oil.
